Workforce

Café Bom Dia is built on the strong relationships it has with its employees, who have made our company the success story it is today.

Where we are

We employ more than 500 people at our headquarters in Varginha, Brazil, which is also the site for our roasting, packaging and distribution facilities.

We also have offices in Arkansas and Florida to serve our North American markets.

Health and Safety

We are committed to safeguarding the health and safety of our employees as an issue of the highest priority.

We comply with all safety policies in the different jurisdictions in which we work.

We provide healthcare support for our employees in Brazil and their immediate families, with up to 70% financial coverage for private medical services. In addition:

  • employees in Varginha can visit an on-site doctor free of charge
  • our annual week-long healthcare fair provides information on issues including nutrition, preventative health measures and HIV/AIDS.

Supporting Employee Education

We encourage our employees to realize their full professional potential through our Brazil employee scholarship program.

This provides reimbursement of 70% of tuition fees for employees who engage in lifelong learning at all levels from post-secondary to post-graduate education.

Human Rights and Child Labor

Café Bom Dia actively supports the principles of the United Nations' Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which is in evidence in our range of third-party accreditations from bodies such as the Rainforest Alliance and Fair Trade.

We are strong supporters of the prohibition of child labor, and we work hard with our partners to ensure that children of growers in rural areas have access to education and are free from exploitation.

"Café Bom Dia shows its values as a family-owned company in the way that it cares for its employees."
